West Ham Have “Submitted A Bid” For Chelsea Outcast With Club Confident Of Move Going Ahead

West Ham have “submitted a bid” for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri, according to The Sun reporter Jack Rosser.

The journalist claims that the Hammers believe the Italian international is open to moving to the London Stadium and they are confident that a deal can be finalised:

It seems that David Moyes’ long search for a left-back could be coming to an end. A move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic failed to materialise, while the club did not follow up their interest in David Raum before RB Leipzig sealed his signature.

Emerson has no future at Chelsea, with the Blues having signed Brighton’s Marc Cucurella as competition for Ben Chilwell at left wingback.

The defender is very experienced, having been capped 27 times by his country. If he does end up sealing his move to West Ham, he will give Moyes a genuine alternative to Aaron Cresswell, whose form has dipped since the back end of last season.
