West Ham Have Held ‘Conversations With Chelsea’ About Signing Two Players

West Ham have held talks bout signing Ross Barkley and Tammy Abraham, according to 90min.com.

The website, which has a very patchy track record when it comes to reliability, claims that the Hammers have had “conversations with Chelsea” about the pair.

Barkley has been linked regularly with the Hammers, due to his close connection with manager David Moyes, and it is said that the 27-year-old is being looked at as a potential backup option if the club can’t sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.

Newcastle and Everton are also thought to be keen on Barkley but the England international is believed to have a preference for West Ham.

When it comes to Abraham, there is no new information about a potential transfer, other than the fact that the two sides have remained in contact.

Chelsea have reportedly slapped a £40m asking price on the striker, which is said to be too high for the Irons. Arsenal have also emerged as rivals for the player’s signature in recent days and they are now tipped as favourites to sign him this summer.
