West Ham Have ‘Concrete’ Interest In 16 Cap International Defender Who Wants Summer PL Move

West Ham are targeting Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Bild.

The German tabloid claims that a move to the London Stadium is a “concrete prospect” with the centre-back keen on a switch to the Premier League.

Tah, who has been capped 16 times by Germany at senior level, has hired Pini Zahavi to handle his affairs. The agent is deemed to be an “expert” in helping his clients move to English clubs.

It’s unlikely that the Hammers will be the only Premier League team pursuing the 27-year-old, though. Liverpool and Newcastle have been credited with an interest in recent months, while Chelsea have also reportedly scouted the centre-back.

However, Bild‘s information suggests that West Ham are the likeliest destination at the moment. Manager David Moyes will be keen to reinforce his options in the centre of defence, with Craig Dawson having left for Wolves in January.
