West Ham ‘Formally’ Request Loan For Dion Sanderson And Are Hoping For Deal In The ‘Coming Weeks’

West Ham have “formally” asked Wolves if they can take Dion Sanderson on loan, according to Todofichajes.com. The Spanish website say the Hammers are hoping to come to an agreement in the “coming weeks.”

The defender is currently at Cardiff City after moving to the Championship club on a temporary basis in the January transfer window. He has, though, only played three games during his spell at the Bluebirds due to the season being suspended.

West Ham are, however, said to be keen on taking Sanderson for the start of next campaign, whenever that may be. The Irons are struggling financially due to the impact of the global health crisis and the club are reportedly focusing on low-cost deals.

The Wolves starlet is a centre-back by trade, but can also play at right-back and manager David Moyes may well be looking for cover in defence, with the likes Pablo Zabaleta and Winston Reid both not expected to be at the club when the 2020/21 season kicks off.
