West Ham Favourites To Land 19-Year-Old Portuguese Talent After Discussing Personal Terms

West Ham are looking to snap up Sporting Lisbon midfielder Nuno Moreira, according to reports in Portugal.

The 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer and the Hammers are believed to have discussed personal terms ahead of a free transfer.

Sporting are said to be resigned to losing Moreira after failing to match the London’s club’s contract offer for the teenager.

Celta Vigo, Genoa and Leicester City are also reportedly keen on the Portuguese starlet but West Ham are believed to be the favourites to secure his signature.

Moreira hasn’t made his senior debut for Sporting yet, despite being highly rated by the club. He has, however, made seven appearances in the UEFA Youth League this campaign, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

The Hammers have a history of signing young players from Portugal having signed Xande Silva from Vitor Guimaraes last summer, and Mesaque Dju from Benfica during the January transfer window.
