West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts as the Hammers near the signing of Arsenal’s Lucas Perez.

Perez has been told he can leave The Emirates this summer by manager Unai Emery, with the striker not part of the Spaniard’s plans this season.

Lazio and Deportivo La Coruna have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, however West Ham are now favourites to land him just two days before the transfer window closes.

ESPN report Perez has agreed a three-year-deal with the Hammers with the option of a 12-month extension, and will undergo his medical at the London Stadium at some point today.

West Ham will pay £5 million to Arsenal for Perez, who will become their ninth signing of the summer under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Perez joined Arsenal in 2016, and has since scored seven times in 21 appearances for the Gunners, although he spent last season out on-loan with Deportivo La Coruna, where he scored a further seven times.
