West Ham fans livid with Masuaku to Spurs links

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a £20 million summer swoop for West Ham United star Arthur Masuaku, according to reports.

The DR Congo international has impressed in recent weeks since his return to action after a six-game ban for an alleged spitting incident, and his performance have not gone un-noticed.

Both Chelsea and AS Monaco are thought to be interested in the Hammers star, who can play as either a defender or winger, however it is Spurs who are favourite to land the former Olympiakos ace.

Masuaku is reportedly happy at the London Stadium, but could be tempted with a switch to Wembley by the lure of Champions League football – which Chelsea look set to miss out on next season.

Tottenham are understood to view Masuaku as a replacement for Danny Rose, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season following a breakdown in relationship between the player and manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs are also chasing Southampton star Ryan Bertrand, with the full-back set to leave St. Marys if the Saints are relegated at the end of the season.

The West Ham fans certainly hope it’s Bertrand and not their very own flying full-back Tottenham go in for this summer …
