West Ham Face Fight For £13.3m Spanish Midfield General After It’s Revealed Another Club Have Agreed Terms

Sevilla are looking to beat West Ham to the signing of Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Hammers are believed to be considering triggering the 24-year-old’s €15m (£13.3m) release clause, but it is said that Sevilla have already agreed personal terms with the player.

Despite that, the La Liga side have yet to make a satisfactory offer to Eibar for Jordan, with the Spanish club holding out for his release fee. Their first bid was reportedly just €10m (£8.9m).

Unlike Pablo Fornals, who West Ham have also bought from Spain, Jordan is a holding midfielder and would play alongside Declan Rice.

The Spaniard scored four goals and provided four assists in 36 league appearances for Eibar last campaign.

Jordan has also been linked with Arsenal, among other clubs, but it appears that the Irons will be in a head to head battle with Sevilla to secure the midfielder’s signature this summer.
