West Ham Eyeing Deal For Ex-Chelsea Ace But Face Fight From Two Other PL Clubs

West Ham are one of three London clubs interested in Lyon forward Bertrand Traore, according to TEAMtalk.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, who left Chelsea to move to France two seasons ago for a reported fee of €10m.

The Hammers are considering making a loan offer with a purchase option for Traore in order to strengthen their frontline ahead of the new season.

They have recently loaned out Jordan Hugill to Queens Park Rangers, leaving manager Manuel Pellegrini with just Sebastien Haller and Javier Hernandez to pick as strikers.

It is unlikely, though, that Lyon would accept a loan bid for Traore after impressing in the Ligue One club’s first team over the past two years.

The Burkino Faso international scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 48 appearances last campaign, and is likely to remain a key first-team player under new head coach Sylvinho.
