West Ham Eye £15m Deal As They Fear Making The Same Mistake They Made With James Maddison

West Ham are considering making a £15m bid for Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen, according to the Sun. The Hammers are looking to make an offer in January in order to beat a number of rival clubs.

Tottenham, Everton, Leicester, Newcastle, Leeds and West Brom have all been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, who has scored 17 goals already this campaign.

Bowen’s current deal expires in June, and rather than leaving it to chance by competing with rivals, West Ham may go in early and try to snap him up with six months remaining on his contract.

The Irons were too slow in making their move for James Maddison eighteen months ago, allowing Leicester to sign the young playmaker, and they are determined that the same won’t happen with Bowen.

The forward could provide some much-needed energy and dynamism to a West Ham side which has been seriously lacking either in recent seasons.
