West Ham Enter Race With Dortmund For Serie A Marksman Who Has Scored 8 Goals In 14 Games

West Ham are tracking Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Calciomercato.com. The Hammers are not the only team keen on the Serbian international, though, with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund also watching the player.

The forward has been in excellent form since mid-December, scoring an impressive eight goals in just 14 Serie A appearances. At 21 years of age, he also has a lot of potential to develop his game.

Irons boss David Moyes is desperately short of options up front, and it is believed that the club have already drawn up a list of summer transfer targets, which includes Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah and Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Vlahovic’s physicality and hold up play, though, make him a different type of player to those currently on Moyes’ shortlist. Having been described as the ‘new Savo Milosevic’ by those back in Serbia, his ability to play the target man role may make him a good fit for the team’s current style of play.
