West Ham Defender Has Contacted Spurs Star About Move To London Rivals

West Ham centre-back Issa Diop has asked Tottenham fullback Serge Aurier about what it’s like playing for the Lilywhites, according to Footmercato.net.

The French website also claims that Spurs are in regular conversation with the Hammers star’s representatives but they have yet to make an offer for the defender.

Diop is valued at around €60m (£52m) by West Ham and that is likely the key reason why Jose Mourinho’s side have not made a formal bid yet.

Of course, with the ongoing health crisis putting pressure on club finances, these valuations may not matter too much when the transfer window reopens.

However, Diop is a key player for the Irons, and even if the London club do need to sell to balance the books, they would still want a sizeable sum for the Frenchman.

They paid Toulouse £22m for the centre-half just under two years ago, and they will want to make a sizeable profit if they ever decide to offload him.
