West Ham Dealt Blow As 17M Rated Wingback Holds Out For Chelsea Or Juventus Switch

The agents representing Eintracht Frankfurt wingback Filip Kostic have leaked reports about West Ham’s interest in the Serbian so that other teams are attracted into making bids, according to Bild (via HITC).

The German tabloid claims that the 29-year-old is not interested in making the switch to the Hammers, and he is hoping that clubs, such as Chelsea and Juventus, will table offers for him instead.

West Ham have already had one bid, worth €15m (£12.5m), rejected for Kostic, and it is believed that Frankfurt are holding out for a fee in the region of €20m (£17m).

If these reports from Germany do turn out to be accurate then David Moyes’ side should step away from negotiations for the player as soon as possible.

The Irons are believed to be considering alternative targets. Burnley’s Maxwel Cornet is said to be a name under consideration, while a move for Leicester’s Luke Thomas cannot be ruled out either.
