West Ham Could Step Away From Battle For Chelsea Star As ExWHUemployee Makes ‘Wage Demands’ Claim

West Ham are exploring other options in their pursuit of a striker after being put off by Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham’s wage demands, according to ExWHUemployee.

The insider source says that, while the England international is still a target for the Hammers, the London club no longer see him as the top priority:

It would make Arsenal the firm favourites to sign the Abraham, were West Ham to step away from a deal, and it will leave manager David Moyes with a big decision to make on who to pursue instead.

Southampton’s Danny Ings, Racing Genk’s Paul Onuachu, Wolfsburg Wout Weghorst, Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and Slavia Prague’s Abdallah Sima have all been mentioned as possible candidates.

However, none of them are likely to be cheap purchases. They will likely cost nearly as much as Abraham, with the possible exception of Nketiah who has less than a year remaining on his contract with the Gunners.
