West Ham Contact United Star’s Agent Ahead Of Surprise Summer Switch

West Ham have contacted the agent of Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez, according to FCInternews.it. The website claims that the Hammers and Fenerbahce are two potential destinations with both clubs having reportedly registered an interest with his representative Fernando Felicevich.

The Chilean international will not be staying in Italy following his loan spell with Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri are unwilling to meet the player’s contract demands with the 31-year-old said to be earning a staggering €12m (£10.6m) a season.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that he would be open to Sanchez returning to Old Trafford, although the Red Devils’ very public pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho would suggest the Chilean does not have a future at the club.

Whether West Ham would take such a risk on the Chilean considering his wage demands and poor injury record, it does seem doubtful. The former Arsenal star has spent most of the campaign on the sidelines with a foot injury.
