West Ham Consider Shock Swoop For La Liga Star Who Has Won SIXTEEN Major Trophies

West Ham are weighing up whether to make an offer for Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The 33-year-old has won sixteen major honours over a ten-year period at Camp Nou but his time at the La Liga club could be coming to an end.

Alba has been in and out of the starting lineup this season and, with manager Xavi keen to bed in Alejandro Balde as the team’s first-choice left-back, he could be allowed to leave during the January transfer window.

The Spanish international is also on a high salary, which means the Catalan side’s hierarchy are open to offloading him too, although the player himself is said to be reluctant about moving clubs.

Considering West Ham are currently lying 16th in the Premier League, it would be a surprise if Alba was interested in making the switch to the London Stadium, unless he is looking to have a new experience in English football.
