West Ham And PL Rivals Told They Will “Have To Beat” 17.6M Record To Sign Danish Ace (Who Will Be Sold Next Summer)

FC Midtjylland CEO Claus Steinlein has confirmed that winger Gustav Isaksen will be sold at the end of the season.

Reports in Italy have claimed that West Ham, Arsenal, Newcastle and AC Milan are all interested in the 21-year-old, and Steinlein says that “clubs in England and Italy” are scouting the player. However, he won’t consider offloading the youngster for less than €20m (£17.6m):

“We have made an agreement with Gustav, his family and agent that he will stay until the summer, and then we will sell. However, the offer may become too large, and I fear that it will. I was made aware a week ago that the biggest sale in the history of the Superliga is €20m, and if he has to leave, we have to beat it.”

Isaksen has had a very decent start to the season. In addition to scoring four goals in 14 Danish Superligaen appearances, he has bagged another three in only six Europa League group matches.

The Danish Under 21 international was again impressive as he provided two assists in Midtjylland’s 2-0 win over Sturm Graz on Thursday evening.

Although he can play in more central positions, Isaksen is usually deployed as either a right or left winger. Hammers boss David Moyes does have plenty of options out wide already but it seems he is keen on adding more firepower to his ranks.
