West Ham And Palace Plotting Summer Swoop For 21 Year Old Championship Ace

West Ham and Crystal Palace are both keen on signing QPR attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, according to the Football Insider.

The website reports that the Hammers’ plans to make a bid for the 21-year-old have been put on hold due to the ongoing health crisis, but they retain an interest in bringing the player to the London Stadium at the end of the season.

Eze’s current contract at Loftus Road expires in 2021 and if the playmaker does not sign an extension, Rangers may well be forced into selling the player this summer.

His performances for QPR in the Championship this season have been very impressive, having scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 37 league games.

Eze started his career at Millwall before moving to QPR in 2016. He made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie against Blackburn in January 2017 but it has only really been this season where he has begun to put in consistently good performances.

Ostensibly a no.10, he can also play off the left flank or very occasionally off the right-wing, scoring and creating chances for others.
