West Ham And Leeds Enquire About Arsenal Marksman Ahead Of Potential January Swoop

West Ham and Leeds have both made enquiries about Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to reports.

The two have joined fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace, as well as Bundesliga pair Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach, in the battle for the 22-year-old.

Nketiah is unlikely to sign a new contract with the Gunners and, with his current deal expiring in June, the London club are expected to try and sell him in the January transfer window.

The Hammers could wait until the summer to snap him up on a free transfer, but manager David Moyes is probably keen to strengthen his options up front at the next possible opportunity.

He has had to rely on Michail Antonio so far this campaign and, while the Jamaican international has coped surprisingly well with the heavy workload, bringing in a backup is vitally important in order for West Ham to sustain their excellent form.
