West Ham And Everton Lead Chase For £18m Rated Dutch International

West Ham are among the teams chasing Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to Sport.

The Catalan based publication reports that the Dutch international looks destined to move to the Premier League with both the Hammers and Everton the likeliest destinations for the player.

Cillessen is reportedly available for €20m (£18m) this summer and has publicly stated that he wants to leave the La Liga club in order to get more first-team football.

Manchester United have also enquired about the 30-year-old, but any deal would likely depend on the club opting to sell first choice David De Gea.

Benfica are said to be another team interested in Cillessen but the Portuguese side have failed to match Barca’s asking price after a €12m offer was rejected.

Valencia did make it known that they would be keen on the Dutchman but it seems they think the keeper will join either West Ham or Everton.

Considering the Irons have already signed two keepers this summer in Roberto and David Martin, Sport’s claim does sound unlikely but we shall have to wait and see.
