West Ham And 3 PL Clubs On Alert As Cape Verde Star’s Price Tag Drops To Just 13M

Sporting Lisbon have dropped their asking price for winger Jovane Cabral from €20m (£17m) to €15m (£13m), according to reports in the Portuguese media.

West Ham, Watford, Southampton and Leeds have all been credited with an interest in the Cape Verde international recently, while Manchester United have also previously watched the 23-year-old, and it remains to be seen whether the new valuation tempts a club into making a bid.

Sporting are keen to sell Cabral to finance their own transfer plans. The Primeira Liga champions are believed to have made Vitoria de Guimaraes winger Marcus Edwards a key target.

It must be said that the Hammers already have some decent options in wide areas, although there could be some room in the squad if the likes of Andriy Yarmoloeko and Felipe Anderson are offloaded.

Manager David Moyes’ focus, though, is signing a new number nine, while a centre-back is also thought to be high on his list of priorities.
