West Ham Among Three Teams Monitoring £10m Rated Tottenham Starlet

West Ham are one of three clubs monitoring Tottenham winger Jack Clarke, according to the Daily Express. The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Leeds but Spurs are concerned by his lack of game time.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side signed Clarke from the Yorkshire club for £10m in the summer before loaning him back to the Whites so he could get more first-team experience.

However, Leeds have a number of players on loan, and can’t put more than five temporary signings in a matchday squad. It means that Clarke has missed out on five matches already this campaign.

Tottenham are, therefore, weighing up recalling him in January and the Hammers, along with Crystal Palace and Everton, are all said to be keen on taking him on loan for the second half of the season.

Considering that manager Manuel Pellegrini already has numerous wingers in his squad, it would be a surprise if West Ham were frontrunners for Clarke but we shall have to wait and see what happens in January.
