West Ham Among Host Of Premier League Teams Pursuing ‘New Raheem Sterling’

West Ham are one of a number of teams interested in signing Jamaican international Alex Marshall, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has been dubbed the “new Raheem Sterling” by some sections of the media, with the player’s performances receiving rave reviews.

In addition to the Hammers, Marshall is being pursued by Liverpool, Tottenham and Leicester City, while Championship side Aston Villa are also keen on the player.

Currently, the winger still plays in his native Jamaica, playing in the country’s top division for a club called Cavalier.

Marshall has seven caps for Jamaica already, with his last coming as a substitute in a CONCACAF Nations League qualifier against the Cayman Islands last month.

The Reggae Boyz were expected to face Cuba during the current international break, but the Cubans had to cancel the friendly as their federation couldn’t book tickets on flights near to the scheduled date.

Jamaica did, however, play another Nations League qualifier last night, beating Bonaire 6-0. Marshall did not get off the bench for the game.
