West Ham Among Clubs To Enquire About Swedish Number One Goalkeeper

West Ham have registered an interest in Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen, according to reports in the Italian media.

Fenerbahce are also said to be after the Sweden international, who is available for transfer this summer.

Olsen is Sweden’s number one and was also first choice for the Giallorossi last campaign but the Serie A club have just signed Pau Lopez from Real Betis.

The Spanish goalkeeper cost Roma €23.5m and will be ahead of Olsen in the pecking order a the Stadio Olimpico next season.

The Italian side are waiting for concrete offers for the 29-year-old, but it remains to be seen if the Hammers will make a move for him.

Lukasz Fabianski was the club’s player of the year, and the London club have already signed two other reserve goalkeepers in Roberto and David Martin this summer.

Unless manager Manuel Pellegrini believes Olsen is a significant upgrade on Fabianski, this story is unlikely to have any legs.
