Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey is expected to return to England this summer, with West Ham his preferred destination, according to reports in Italy.
There had been speculation that Liverpool were also interested in the former Arsenal star, but it is believed that the Hammers and Crystal Palace are the two main teams keen on signing the 30-year-old.
Ramsey’s preference would be a move to the Hammers, but there is also the small matter of his €7m (£5.95m) a season salary, which fans on Twitter have pointed out would prove a major stumbling block, in addition to concerns about his age:
Don’t want him way past his best

Massive wage bill for another ” sell by date ” No thanks— Ralph (@Ralph28244587) April 1, 2021
Not sure about being tempted by wages as I think he’d definitely have to take a pay cut if he were to sign for us but no I think it would be better to swerve him ?

Would this guy fall into the category of ‘past his best and looking for a fat salary?’ Haven’t we had enough of these type of players?

It seems like most supporters don’t want Ramsey to make the switch to the London Stadium. Whether manager David Moyes agrees with them, we shall have to wait and see. The 57-year-old has started to favour signing younger players but he may well be tempted into making a move for the Juventus star.
