“Very Concrete Interest” Report Confirms West Ham Have Joined Pursuit Of 26M Rated Forward

West Ham are interested in signing Gent striker Roman Yaremchuk, according to Calciomercato.it. The Italian website reports that the Hammers have “very concrete interest” in the 25-year-old but there are a number of other teams involved in the battle for the player.

Wolfsburg are believed to be preparing a draft proposal for the Ukrainian international, while the likes of Arsenal, Sporting Lisbon, Lazio and Roma have been keeping tabs on the forward.

However, Gent are expected to demand between €25m (£21.4m) and €30m (£26m) for Yaremchuk, which may put off some teams, although Calciomercato say the figure does “not scare” West Ham.

The Ukrainian has been in impressive form for his country at the European Championships, having scored two goals and provided one assist in his two appearances so far. He also came into the tournament off the back of a strong season at club level, where he bagged 23 goals in 43 games for Gent.
