West Ham have “shortlisted” Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah as a potential transfer target, according to The Guardian.
The Hammers have already tabled an offer for Conor Gallagher but manager David Moyes is also looking for a right-sided centre-back, and Chalobah is under consideration along with Manchester City’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Manchester United’s Harry Maguire.
Some fans on Twitter are open to the club recruiting Chalobah but others feel that there are better options available:
That’s much better

Chelsea may not want to let Chalobah leave
As one supporter has pointed out, Chalobah’s club may not be open to selling the centre-back following the serious knee injury sustained by Wesley Fofana.
While it is believed that the Blues were prepared to offload the defender earlier in the summer, that may no longer be the case due to their lack of options in the middle of defence.
West Ham are making moves in the transfer market
In addition to Chalobah and Gallagher, the Hammers are said to be making enquiries for a number of different players, with insider ExWHUEmployee claiming that approaches have been made for at least TEN.
How many of those will end up being actual signings, though, it is up for debate. Recruiting a winger, a midfielder, a centre-back and potentially a left-back (if Aaron Cresswell leaves) are all on the agenda as things stand.
