REPORT: Chelsea Striker ‘Wants Out’ With West Ham Set To Fight It Out With 3 Other PL Clubs For His Signature

West Ham are on alert after it was reported that forward Armando Broja “wants out” of Chelsea.

Website TEAMtalk claims that the Albanian international has representatives “exploring” potential transfers away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with the London Stadium one potential destination.

Crystal Palace, Brentford and Burnley are also said to be interested in signing Broja, who is open to a move, with Chelsea willing to sell the striker for the right price.

While a loan deal has not been ruled out, TEAMtalk report that a “permanent” transfer is currently the preferred option for all parties.

West Ham did try to sign Broja last year

The Hammers did table an official bid for the 21-year-old in the 2022 summer transfer window, and there were reports at the time that the player was keen on joining David Moyes’ side.

Broja ultimately signed a new six-year contract with Chelsea in September but a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. The striker wasn’t a regular starter before the World Cup and he then sustained an ACL injury in a friendly which ended his season prematurely.

With the Albanian clearly desperate for regular game time, it looks as if he will push for a move away from the Blues in the coming weeks.

The arrival of a new striker has not helped matters

Chelsea’s decision to purchase Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal is believed to be one of the main motivating factors for Broja to leave the Blues.

The Senegalese international is only a year older, and it’s likely that he will be above his teammate in the pecking order. If Chelsea also decide to sign a more high-profile number nine before the transfer window closes, it will become even clearer to Broja that he needs to leave to get first team football.
