The Top 5 Premier League Players Who Have Sold The Most Shirts In October

Football is very much a business these days, and generating revenue through selling shirts is a key part of monetising the sport.

While the popularity of individual footballers doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things, it is interesting to see which players are admired the most by supporters.

In this list, we will be looking at the Premier League stars who have racked up the highest number of sales across Europe in the month of October.

5) Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

Despite being sidelined for most of the season, the Belgian is still selling plenty of shirts.

De Bruyne picked up a serious hamstring injury in the opening game against Burnley and he is not expected to be back in action until the New Year

As one of the Premier League’s most high-profile players, though, it appears there are many across Europe who want his name emblazoned on their replica jerseys.

There will be plenty of fans looking forward to seeing him make his comeback from injury.

4) Mo Salah (Liverpool)

The Egyptian international continues to perform at the very highest level for the Reds.

Back in September, there was some speculation that Salah could be off to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Ittihad reportedly making a £100m+ bid.

However, Liverpool turned down the offer and he has subsequently scored 8 goals in 11 league appearances.

With his contract set to expire in 2025, though, there remains a possibility that Salah will leave Anfield next summer and join the exodus to Saudi.

3) Son Heung-min (Tottenham)

The South Korean has been made captain of Spurs this season after replacing Hugo Lloris.

Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich has also meant that Son has become Tottenham’s main striker and he has clearly embraced the extra responsibility.

The 31-year-old has hit the back of the net 8 times this season already; that is only 2 fewer than he managed in the Premier League in the whole of last campaign.

Son has won the Golden Boot before and the way he is going, he could be in with a shout of being top scorer once again.

2) Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

It’s slightly surprising to see the England international so high up the list, considering his poor start to the season.

Rashford has only scored one league goal so far, and that came in a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal back in September.

However, the forward’s personal profile, in addition to the vast fanbase that United has, means we shouldn’t be that shocked that he is 2nd.

Of course, Rashford will be hoping to improve on his form so those supporters who have his name on the back of their shirts have something to be proud of.

1) Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

After breaking the Premier League scoring record last season, the sky really is the limit for the Norwegian.

While he already had a high profile with Dortmund in Germany, Haaland has moved up to another level following his switch to the Premier League.

The forward narrowly missed out on the Golden Ball earlier this month, with many feeling that he deserved to win based on his exploits over the last 12 months.

It does appear as though fans are buying replica shirts with his name on in droves, demonstrating his talents are very much appreciated.
