West Ham have confirmed the signing of striker Ademipo Odubeko on a long term contract, reportedly beating the likes of Bayern Munich, Feyenoord and Genoa to the 17-year-old’s signature.
The Irish Under 17 international came through the academy at Manchester United but left the club at the end of last season after turning down a new deal with the Red Devils. Fans on Twitter are delighted that the teenager has decided to move to the Hammers:
This is big tbh, essentially taking him from Man U after he refused to sign there

Odubeko scored an impressive 35 goals for United’s Under 18s last season, and will initially play at the same level for West Ham. The academy staff will then assess the forward’s progress before deciding whether he can move up to the Under 23s.
With 15-year-old Amadou Diallo having played and scored for the Under 23s last night in the 4-1 win over Norwich City, the club won’t shy away from moving Odubeko up to that level if they believe he is good enough.
