“They Do Not Need Him…” West Ham Urged To Withdraw From Battle To Sign 21.6M Rated Dutch Forward

Ex-England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has questioned West Ham’s interest in signing Club Brugge winger Noa Lang.

Reliable insider source ExWHUemployee has confirmed the Hammers are tracking the progress of the Dutch international but Robinson believes that manager David Moyes already has plenty of forward options available to him in his first-team squad:

“For me, they do not need him. Is he better than what David Moyes has currently got? I don’t think so. Look at the players West Ham have got in those positions, the likes of Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Paqueta and Cornet. They have so much talent in that area. I cannot understand why they would go for Lang. He is not better than the players they currently have in their starting XI in my opinion.”

Robinson does make a good point about the wealth of attacking players that West Ham possess, and we shall see whether their interest in Lang does actually lead to a formal bid either in January or at the end of the season.

Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the 23-year-old in recent months, with Brugge expected to hold out for a fee in the region of €25m (£21.6m).

Considering the cost and competition for Lang’s signature, the Irons may decide to look elsewhere, especially as there are other areas of the pitch that could do with strengthening first.
