“There Has Been Nothing….” Source Reveals Doubts About Arsenal’s Summer Move For West Ham Star

Arsenal have not made an enquiry for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to the Claret & Hugh.

The club insiders relayed a message from a source that claims the Gunners have yet to make any contact about signing the Hammers captain:

“They may move at the end of the season IF they are interested but there has been nothing so far. We take nothing for granted!”

It should be pointed out that teams don’t usually start direct negotiations about a transfer without having held talks with the player’s agent first.

From the sound of things, Rice hasn’t made a decision on which team he wants to join. Chelsea and Manchester United are also likely to be in the frame for the 24-year-old, and he may still be weighing up his options.

Only when a club has agreed personal terms with Rice’s representatives will they then go on and make contact with West Ham. Of course, the Irons will not let the player leave without a fight, and they are expected to hold out for a fee in excess of £100m.
