The Worst Performing Player At EVERY Premier League Club PART THREE

After going through the worst performers at Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds and Leicester last week, we now move on to our next five Premier League teams.

We have tried to make this as unbiased as possible by using the rating system used by WhoScored.com to determine our selections.

In this post, we are moving on to some of the biggest teams in the league, and there are one or two players on this list that may surprise a few people.

Press the next page as we look at the worst performing players at Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Norwich.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Liverpool (6.56)

It does appear as though injuries have rid the former Arsenal player of his confidence. It is difficult enough getting into a midfield that has the likes of Thiago and Fabinho as competition but he has found it hard to get any game time, even off the bench, for Liverpool recently.

With Oxlade-Chamberlain closing in on the final year of his contract at Anfield, it may well be the case that the midfielder moves on to pasture’s new this summer.

Kyle Walker – Manchester City (6.73)

The right-back’s inclusion may raise a few eyebrows, considering he is still a regular for a City side who are top of the Premier League table.

You do have to acknowledge, though, that Walker’s WhoScored rating isn’t exactly that low. It just shows you the excellent standards being reached by City’s players that he’s ranked at the bottom.

Marcus Rashford – Manchester United (6.35)

This won’t come as a surprise to any United fan. The England international has had a torrid time this campaign, and he is clearly struggling with his confidence.

Rashford will be hoping to turn over a new leaf when Erik ten Hag arrives as the club’s next manager at the end of the season.

Jacob Murphy – Newcastle (6.40)

The 27-year-old has actually played 31 games in all competitions for the Magpies this season, scoring once and providing two assists.

Murphy works hard and he possesses a decent amount of pace, but he lacks quality. You’d have to think that, with Newcastle’s newly found wealth, they will be looking for an upgrade in the transfer market this summer.

Joshua Sargent – Norwich (6.32)

The Canaries spent €9.5m on the American striker but the investment has failed to pay off, with just two Premier League goals to his name this season.

Perhaps Sargent will find his level in the Championship next campaign but he doesn’t possess the quality required for the English top flight.
