The Worst Performing Player At EVERY Premier League Club PART FOUR

Following our look at the worst performers at Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Norwich in our last post, we now move on to our final five Premier League teams

As we have mentioned previously, we are using the league ratings from WhoScored in order to make these choices as unbiased as possible.

The five that have made our list today are a mixture of poor summer signings and those who have simply flattered to deceive over the course of the season.

Press the next page as we go through the worst performing players at Southampton, Tottenham, Watford, West Ham and Wolves.

Adam Armstrong – Southampton (6.39)

The Saints may well be regretting paying Blackburn Rovers £15m for the striker, as he has struggled to make an impact in the top flight of English football.

Things started promisingly enough after Armstrong scored on his debut against Everton but he has managed just one more goal since then in 22 league appearances.

Steven Bergwijn – Tottenham (6.27)

The Dutchman has actually had one standout moment this season, scoring a late brace to help Spurs secure an unlikely 3-2 away win against Leicester back in January.

However, Bergwijn has only managed to get on the scoresheet on one other occasion in the league this campaign and reports suggest that he could be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Tom Cleverley – Watford (6.28)

At 32 years of age, it does seem like the former Manchester United player is coming towards the end of his time playing at the top level.

The Hornets have struggled on their return to the top flight and Cleverley’s performances have not been up to the standard required. We shall see if he remains at Vicarage Road over the coming months.

Nikola Vlasic – West Ham (6.22)

West Ham shelled out €30m, plus add-ons, for the Croatian international but he has been a major disappointment, having scored just once in all competitions this campaign.

Whether Vlasic will be given a second season in order to prove themselves, we shall have to wait and see, but it has been a very difficult start to his time at the London Stadium.

Fabio Silva – Wolves (6.08)

According to WhoScored, the Portuguese striker is the worst player statistically in the entire Premier League. Considering he cost £35m, Wolves are not exactly getting much of a return on their investment.

Silva is still only 19 years of age, so he could still improve, but with no goals or assists from 21 league appearances this campaign, the forward has plenty of work to do.
