The TOP FIVE Highest Paid Strikers In The Premier League

After going through the best paid left-wingers in English football last week, we now move on to the strikers.

For understandable reasons, centre-forwards usually get the highest salaries as they are the ones who put the ball in the back of the net.

Finding a clinical striker is difficult and the very best can be invaluable to their teams. The five stars in our list today are (for the most part) integral players for their clubs.

Press the next page as we count down the top five highest earning strikers in the Premier League (based on data from Capology.com).

5) Harry Kane – Tottenham – £200K A Week

Considering the England captain is one of the best goalscorers of the Premier League era, you would expect him to be earning slightly more.

However, after failing to secure a move to City in the summer of 2021, Kane has decided to sit tight on his current deal rather than accept a contract extension. We shall have to wait and see what the future holds for him.

4) Anthony Martial – Manchester United – £250K A Week

The fact that the Frenchman earns £50k a week more than Kane is just another example of United’s willingness to hand out large contracts to players without much justification.

Martial was seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford after being loaned out to Sevilla last season, but he has worked his way back into the club’s first-team plans under Erik ten Hag.

3) Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal – £265K A Week

The Gunners’ decision to spend £45m on the Brazilian international has proven to be a masterstroke, with the forward spearheading the club’s unlikely title challenge.

Jesus’s recent goal drought has led to some criticism of the 25-year-old, but his all-round game means he has already become an indispensable first-team player for manager Mikel Arteta.

2) Erling Haaland – Manchester City – £375K A Week

The Norwegian’s basic wage is reportedly supplemented by a number of achievable bonuses which effectively means he is the highest earner in the Premier League.

However, we will keep Haaland second on the list as we are using Capology’s numbers. Whatever the figure he is being paid, though, he is well worth the expense considering his outstanding goal record.

1) Cristiano Ronaldo – Manchester United – £515K A Week

The Portuguese legend signed a lucrative contract when he agreed to return to United eighteen months ago but it’s fair to say that things have not exactly gone to plan.

Ronaldo scored a fair few goals in his first season back at Old Trafford but the failure to qualify for the Champions League has resulted in the player trying to force through a move away from Manchester.
