The Player With The Highest Transfer Value At Every Premier League Club (Part 1)

Martinelli

With the summer transfer window upon us, we have decided to take a look at the players with the highest transfer values at all 20 Premier League teams.

We will be splitting this series into four separate parts, with today’s post focusing on our first five players.

For this article, we will be using data from the CIES Football Observatory, who have used a statistical model to assess the value of footballers across the world.

Press the next page as we list the most valuable players at Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton.

Arsenal – Gabriel Martinelli (€100m)

The Brazilian had a lot of competition for top spot in the Gunners’ squad, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard giving him a good run for his money.

Martinelli has had an excellent season, with 15 goals and six assists in 45 appearances, which is certainly not bad going for a 21-year-old.

He is very much living up to the “talent of the century” label that manager Jurgen Klopp thrust upon him a few years ago.

Aston Villa – Jacob Ramsey (€40m)

The midfielder has had a pretty decent campaign for Villa and, at 21 years of age, there is plenty of room for him to develop in the future.

When you look at Villa’s squad, there is a case to be made that Ollie Watkins, John McGinn or perhaps Emi Martinez could be worth more.

However, as a young player, with an eye for goal, Ramsey does look like someone who could explode at any time.

Bournemouth – Dango Ouattara (€20m)

The Burkina Faso international only joined the Cherries from Lorient for £20m during the January transfer window.

During the first half of the season, Ouattara was turning heads with 12 goal involvements in only 18 games, and it led to his move to the Premier League.

While he has looked impressive on occasions for Bournemouth, the winger may need some time to acclimatise to English football.

Brentford – Bryan Mbeumo (€30m)

This may raise a few eyebrows considering most would assume that Ivan Toney would be the Bees’ most valuable player.

It must simply be down to age that Mbeumo has been rated ahead of his strike partner, being four years younger than the England international.

Mbeumo is an erratic finisher, but he does possess a great deal of pace and decent close ball control, making him a tricky customer to handle.

Brighton –  Alexis Mac Allister (€60m)

The World Cup winner, and his midfield partner Moise Caicedo, are highly coveted by top clubs, and for good reason.

Mac Allister has an eye for a pass, but he is equally adept when he is asked to get stuck in and make some tackles. A consummate all-round performer, he could fetch a sizeable fee this summer.

€60m is probably the bare minimum that Brighton will sell him for, but his departure from the Amex in the coming weeks does look inevitable.
