West Ham are weighing up a possible move for Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram, according to reports in the English media.
The Blades may well listen to offers for the 27-year-old in the January transfer window with the player having rejected the latest contract offer from the Yorkshire club.
Lundstram’s current deal at Bramall Lane expires next summer and it seems he will be allowed to leave midway through the season to prevent him from leaving for nothing. Supporters on Twitter think the midfielder could be a decent addition to the squad:
This is the most David Moyes signing of all time

Id take him. Hard working and would be a good squad player.

He looked decent last year

He would be a very astute signing…especially given we’re potentially losing Noble, Snodgrass and Rice (obviously hopefully not) in the summer

Decent player for us to go after. Strong midfielder who done alright in the prem. can come into squad and do a job/backup

With the Hammers having not replaced Jack Wilshere after the former Arsenal star was released on a free transfer, bringing in another midfielder when the transfer window opens does seem to be a priority.
West Ham may have a fight on their hands to secure Lundstram’s signature though, with reports suggesting that Rangers may also be keen to snap him up.
