West Ham centre-back Nayef Aguerd has confirmed that he is back in training after recovering from an ankle injury.
The Moroccan international has not played a competitive game for the Hammers since arriving from Rennes in the summer after he was forced off during a preseason game against Rangers.
It was a significant blow for both Aguerd and the club at the time. West Ham shelled out £30m on the defender but, after the player took to Twitter to confirm his comeback, fans were delighted:

Manager David Moyes has already confirmed that the 26-year-old is likely to play before the World Cup, although the length of time he has spent on the treatment table means he will need to build up his fitness first.
Aguerd won’t feature against Liverpool on Wednesday evening but we shall see if he is named in the matchday squad for the upcoming league fixtures versus Bournemouth, Manchester United, Crystal Palace or Leicester.
