The Four Midfield Targets West Ham Are Weighing Up January Bids For

West Ham are interested in four central midfielders, according to insider EXWHUemployee. There had been rumours that the Hammers may go after the likes of Joe Allen and Steven Nzonzi but it appears the club are looking at younger options.

Manager David Moyes is keen to bring in reinforcements to help out the likes of Declan Rice and Mark Noble with Carlos Sanchez having been frozen out.

The Colombian has not even made the bench for West Ham’s last two league games, and it seems Moyes is looking to find a replacement.

Press the “next page” as we go through the four players who are reportedly top of the Irons’ list of midfield targets.

Ronaldo Vieira

The England Under 21 international is currently playing for Sampdoria after moving to Italy in August 2018. He has become a regular starter for the Serie A side, having made 20 appearances this season.

Vieira came through the academy at Leeds but was sold for £7m despite being a consistent performer in the Championship side’s midfield. He is, however, untested in the Premier League.

Franck Kessie

Some have compared the Ivorian to N’Golo Kante due to his all-action style, but he has struggled for form somewhat since moving to AC Milan over two years ago.

Kessie is now reportedly available on loan, with West Ham, Arsenal and Wolves all taking a look at him. At 23 years of age, the Hammers may well see him as the best option currently out there on the market.

Nahitan Nandez

The Uruguayan international has been impressive since swapping Boca Juniors for Cagliari in the summer, helping his side to sixth in the Serie A table.

Nandez could, though, cost a lot of money with Cagliari having shelled out €18m on the 24-year-old only in August last year.

Sander Berge

The Norwegian international has been watched by the likes of Liverpool and Napoli after putting in impressive performances against both clubs in the Champions League group stages this season.

Berge is, though, also said to be on West Ham’s radar, although it is believed they are not frontrunners for the towering midfielder.
