The FIVE Premier League Managers Who Are Next In Line To Lose Their Jobs

After Jesse Marsch was sacked by Leeds this week, we have decided to look at which other Premier League managers are now favourites to lose their jobs.

It’s a difficult existence being in charge of a top-flight team in English football. With so much money in the game, and fans’ patience shorter than ever, very few managers stay in their jobs for long spells.

There are some very high-profile names in our top five that may surprise some but, considering recent events, we may see a few notable departures in the coming weeks and months.

Press the next page as we name the five Premier League managers who are next in line to leave their posts.

5) Jurgen Klopp – Liverpool

Most bookmakers have the German at 12/1 or 14/1 to depart Liverpool, which are stunningly low odds for a man who has brought so much success to the Reds.

However, the 2022/23 season has been an absolute disaster, with the Merseyside club currently sitting in tenth place, and there is a chance that Klopp could walk at some point.

A lot could depend on whether he has been given guarantees about transfer spending for the summer transfer window but, with the club being put up for sale, he may not receive the assurances he wants.

4) Graham Potter – Chelsea

Since being appointed Blues boss back in September, the former Brighton boss has struggled to really stamp his mark on the team.

A win percentage of just 40.9% from his 22 matches in charge means Potter was always going to come under pressure pretty quickly.

With the London club’s owners having spent heavily once again in the January transfer window, Potter will be under even closer scrutiny as he attempts to create a team from a squad that has had £600m spent on it since last summer.

3) Gary O’Neil – Bournemouth

A slightly less surprising candidate for the sack as he was appointed prior to the Cherries’ takeover by American businessman Bill Foley.

Following a number of new additions in January, O’Neil will be expected to turn around the club’s fortunes after dropping into the relegation zone.

His win percentage of just 20% is not great so there could be a change in the hot seat at the Vitality Stadium between now and May.

2) Pep Guardiola – Manchester City

Following the Premier League charges against the reigning champions, it’s probably not as surprising to see Guardiola so high up this list.

Of course, due to his phenomenal record at the Citizens, he is in no danger of being sacked, but he may decide to walk if the controversy surrounding the club becomes too much for him.

Bookies have Guardiola between 7/2 to 9/2 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

1) Nathan Jones – Southampton

Saints owners Sports Republic have come out and backed Jones this week, despite a bizarre press conference from the manager who seems to be buckling under pressure.

After the 3-0 defeat to Brentford last weekend, Jones went on a rant about being the best in Europe, despite his team losing six of the seven league matches he has been in charge.

Southampton fans have already turned against him and many feel Jones is way out of his depth at this level.
