The Best Performing Player At EVERY Premier League Club PART TWO

Following on from our article last week, this is our second post in the series looking at the best performing player at each of the 20 clubs playing in the top flight.

We will be using the ratings from WhosScored.com to make our choices as the metrics used by the website provide a fair assessment of every player’s performance so far this season.

Today’s article will look at Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds and Leicester, and the names on this list won’t come as a shock to anyone who follows these clubs.

Press the next page as we list the best performing stars from the five teams.

Mateo Kovacic – Chelsea (7.56)

Considering all the praise for the likes of Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy, the performances of the Croatian midfielder have gone under the radar somewhat this campaign.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is a massive fan of Kovacic and his absence due to a hamstring injury has been felt in recent weeks.

Conor Gallagher – Crystal Palace (7.43)

Another product of the Chelsea youth academy, the 21-year-old has excelled since moving on loan to the Eagles at the start of the season.

As well as scoring four goals and providing three assists, Gallagher has a superb work ethic and his performances were rewarded with his first senior England cap last month.

Andros Townsend – Everton (7.04)

The winger was released by Crystal Palace last summer but he has found a new lease of life under manager Rafa Benitez at Everton.

While the Toffees have been struggling in recent weeks, Townsend has been consistently one of their best players. Not bad for someone who arrived on a free transfer.

Raphinha – Leeds United (7.33)

The 24-year-old has six goals in 12 league appearances for Leeds this campaign, and he has also made a splash at international level, having scored twice for Brazil since his debut in October.

Many believe that Raphinha will soon depart Elland Road but Leeds will rightly demand a very hefty transfer fee for a supremely talented player.

Youri Tielemans – Leicester City (7.15)

The Foxes have been rather inconsistent this season but the Belgian international has been arguably their best player over the course of the last few months.

Although not known for being a goalscorer, Tielemans has actually upped his game in front of goal, having scored three in his 11 league games.
