‘That’s Great News’ ‘Have To Sign Him’ West Ham Fans On Twitter React To Latest ExWHUEmployee Transfer Update

West Ham will sign midfielder Tomas Soucek on a permanent basis if the Hammers’ top-flight status is confirmed, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The club insider believes the Czech international’s loan deal has a purchase clause which means they will sign him if and when they avoid relegation:

Supporters on Twitter are happy Soucek could be staying, but they have questioned where the money will come from:

Reports have suggested the fee would be between £13m and £17m, which in the current financial climate will be a hefty outlay for the Irons.

West Ham’s players have already agreed to a wage deferral, and the club does have substantial debts which may need to be paid through the sale of key stars.

Soucek’s transfer will apparently not be affected by that, though, as the Hammers are contractually obligated to buy. Considering his good form following his arrival from Slavia Prague, though, fans won’t be complaining.
