Sullivan and Gold Finally Deliver Big-Time In The Transfer Market

It has taken many years to come but it appears that Sullivan and Gold have finally got their act together in the transfer market. The two David’s have been hopeless previously and never deliver the type of players that their manager craves. Times are changing and it appears this summer the penny has finally dropped.

Slaven Bilic couldn’t contain his smiles when asked about whether he has been happy with the transfer additions during the window. It felt he was as aware, like most Hammers supporters, that the club has bought the kind of players that were required and more importantly natural Premier League experience.

For too many years we have looked for the cheaper options abroad in the hope we find the next superstar and ultimately we have collated a massive squad full of average footballers that are impossible to move on.

The boss claimed that the club had brought in genuine leaders into the Hammers dressing room and in the case of Hart, Zabaleta and Hernandez players that have ultimately won the game’s top prizes and that is invaluable to have within the squad as we look to get to the next level with the football club.

What has been so impressive about these deals is that our owners had finally learnt to keep their mouths shut and don’t make outlandish claims about possible transfer targets like they have done in many transfer windows prior. Lets not forget the sheer nonsense of some of the messages coming out of £30m+ deals for players that were never in the month of Sundays going to join the football club. The problem is they obviously bought into it and unfortunately some of the supporters did too that only added the tension between the owners and fans when the signings failed to be delivered.

With two weeks left of the transfer window still to go, I am obviously hopeful that we will bring in another couple of new additions to complete the squad, but more importantly I hope that this transfer window is the start of things to come from our owners in the future. Credit where its due they have done fantastically well this summer – giving Bilic all the actual tools he requires to ensure the Hammers are challenging for a European spot come the end of the season.

You have to hand it to Sullivan and Gold they have paid good money for Premier League players – I bet a certain Rafa Benitez at Newcastle wished his boss Mike Ashley had been good enough to keep his word and do the same for Newcastle.
