Spurs Weighing Up Surprise £2m Offer For West Ham Frontman

West Ham striker Andy Carroll is a shock target for Tottenham, according to reports in the English media.

The 30-year-old’s current deal at the London Stadium expires in the summer, and Spurs are said to be weighing up a £2m offer during the January transfer window to allay their striker crisis.

Harry Kane is out until March with an ankle injury while Son Heung-min is away at the Asian Cup with South Korea.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are, therefore, looking for short-term solutions with Carroll’s name being considered as a possible target.

It is believed that Tottenham would only look to offer an 18-month contract due to the forward’s long record of injury problems.

Carroll returned from ankle surgery in November and has gone on to score one goal in ten games for the Hammers this season.

With Marko Arnautovic omitted from the squad that faced Bournemouth on Saturday, the former Liverpool forward started the game at the Vitality Stadium but was unable to prevent his side succumbing to a 2-0 defeat.
