Empoli goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski has refused to be drawn on claims that West Ham are interested in signing him.

The Polish Under 21 international is currently on loan from Fiorentina, but the Hammers have reportedly been keeping an eye on the shot-stopper.

When asked whether his future could be at West Ham or back at this parent club, he replied:

“Fiorentina, West Ham? Sorry, now I only think of Empoli.”

Dragowski came to the attention of many in Italy after he set a new Serie A record for the number of saves in one match. Last month, he made a remarkable 17 saves in the 0-0 draw against Atalanta.

The 21-year-old only joined Empoli in January but despite being in a relegation battle, he has kept three clean sheets in 12 appearances for Gli Azzurri.

Dragowski’s agent has already said that a move away from Fiorentina is a possibility in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether West Ham will make a move for the Pole.

With Adrian leaving at the end of his contract, a new number 2 for Lukasz Fabianski is likely being sought and it could well be a fellow countryman they are looking at.
