Serie A Giants Plotting Surprise Move For Out Of Form West Ham Playmaker

Juventus are considering whether to revive their interest in West Ham attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini, according to the Athletic (paywall)

The Bianconeri were reportedly keen on the 26-year-old in the summer but they decided against an approach after the Argentinian international was handed a new contract by the Hammers.

However, Lanzini has not been a first-team regular recently. The playmaker’s form has dipped alarmingly over the past couple of months, following a bright start to the season with two assists in his first three matches.

Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini has left the Argentine on the bench for the last two league games, with the midfielder having not started since the abject display against Everton last month.

Whether Juve will test the waters in January, we shall have to wait and see, but if Lanzini’s performances haven’t improved by the end of the campaign, West Ham may consider offloading the player next summer.
