West Ham United are eyeing up a potential transfer for Leeds United’s Jack Harrison and Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes, according to a report from The Sun.

Both teams are currently in danger of relegation – they will need positive results on the final day of the Premier League season if they wish to remain in the top flight of English football.

Nevertheless, Barnes could still leave Leicester, even if the Foxes avoid relegation. However, if they do manage to beat the drop on the final day of the season, West Ham would need to pay a significantly higher-fee for the former Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion loanee.

Jack Harrison career summary

Harrison’s first foray into the world of senior team football began across the pond in the USA. Before this, he enjoyed stints in the academies of both Liverpool and Manchester United.

From 2010 to 2015, he developed with Black Rock SC and Manhattan SC, respectively. Following this, he underwent his college career in the states with Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

After a successful season playing for New York City FC, where he scored 14 goals in 55 games, he was headhunted and subsequently signed by Manchester City in 2018. Despite this, he failed to make a single senior team appearance for the Citizens.

In 2021, he made the permanent jump to Leeds – since then, he has gone on to score 30 goals in 189 games for the Whites.

Harvey Barnes career summary

Harvey Barnes is a Leicester City boy through and through. He first joined the Foxes’ academy in 2007, making his senior debut in 2016.

He has made 145 appearances for them since then, scoring a total of 34 Premier League goals. Outside of Leicester, he has also undergone loan spells with MK Dons, Barnsley and West Brom.

Barnes has also won a single cap for England in a 3-0 victory over Wales, which came back in 2020.
