REPORT: West Ham Open To Shock Loan Exit For 22M Signing

West Ham have given centre-back Issa Diop permission to leave on loan this month, according to the Football Insider.

The website reports that the decision has been made after the Frenchman dropped down the pecking order behind the likes of Fabian Balbuena and Craig Dawson this season.

Diop joined the Hammers from Toulouse for £22m in 2018, and his good performances during his first two years at the London Stadium led to speculation linking him with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal.

However, his inconsistent displays have led manager David Moyes to favour other players and the switch to a back four in recent months means there will be even fewer chances for the 24-year-old to play.

Football Insider say there are a number of clubs tracking Diop but they do not mention any teams by name. With just over a week to go before the transfer window closes, fans should expect some movement regarding the player’s departure soon.
