REPORT: West Ham Offer Staggering £40m For Uruguayan Star And Carlos Tevez Is Helping In Negotiations

West Ham have offered a loan deal with a £40m purchase clause for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, according to Centotrentuno.com reporter Matteo Zizola.

The journalist claims he has learned of detailed information about the deal from “sources close to the London club.” As well as the transfer figure, he also says that Nandez will be offered a four and a half year contract worth £2m a year, which will rise to £3m a year in the 2023/24 season.

Nandez will also be given appearance bonuses, £5000 for every start and £2000 for every substitute appearance. He will also have his initial hotel accommodation paid for by the club as well as being given plane tickets to visit Uruguay when he needs to.

Former West Ham player Carlos Tevez has reportedly even been involved in talks. The 35-year-old played with Nandez for Boca Juniors last season and he has acted as an intermediary between the Hammers and the player’s agent, to try and encourage the 24-year-old to make the move to the London Stadium.

Whether any of this information is true, it remains to be seen, but it appears Cagliari are yet to make up their mind on the deal. The Italian club only signed him from Boca in August but it would be a massive profit on the £16m they paid for the player.
