REPORT: West Ham Lining Up Summer Deal For £17m Rated Turkish Midfield General

West Ham are weighing up a bid for Besiktas midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz, according to reports in the Turkish press.

There have already been stories in recent days that the Hammers are closing in on a deal for Tokoz’s teammate Gary Medel, but it appears the London club could be prepared to make a double swoop.

Tokoz only signed from Eskisehirspor in the summer but he has quickly established himself in Besiktas’s first team, having made 19 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign.

The 22-year-old has also been attracting interest from the likes of Valencia and Roma but West Ham are said to be the club keenest to make a move for the player.

Besiktas may play hardball in negotiations to sell Tokoz with the Super Lig side reportedly expecting €20m (£17m) for the Turkish international.

However, with their current financial difficulties, it is likely that the holding midfielder will be available for a much lower fee.
